StarMaker Interactive's Growth Continues To Climb With $4M In Funding From Technology Corporation Qualcomm And Global Venture Firm iGlobe

Company Also Releases Android Apps, Reports Record Numbers and Announces New Strategic Partnerships

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- StarMaker Interactive, a leading global music entertainment platform producing mobile singing games, announced a $4 million Series A round of funding from Qualcomm Incorporated, acting through its venture capital investment arm, Qualcomm Ventures, and iGlobe Partners, who specializes in bringing American technology companies like Unity to Asia. StarMaker Interactive, known for its popular singing game apps including the flagship StarMaker app and The Voice: On Stage app produced as part of their global partnership with The Voice franchise, will use proceeds for further growth of the Android products and international expansion.

"Qualcomm Ventures seeks companies who are truly innovating within the mobile space, evolving legacy technologies to mobility enabled solutions," said Patrick Eggen, director for Qualcomm Ventures.  "StarMaker maximizes our technology to build complex audio processing and powerful social functionality, bringing music creation and talent discovery right into the palm of your hand."

With a growing library featuring hundreds of songs and new tracks added every day, StarMaker Interactive is leading the mobile singing game revolution through the creation of original content using innovative gaming mechanics to discover new talent. With over 2 billion minutes of singing time logged to-date, brands and talent are now aligning with StarMaker to help reach this engaged demographic. Cassadee Pope, Season 3 winner of The Voice, officially signed on to promote her new single, "Wasting All These Tears," to the StarMaker Interactive community. Kia Motors has also recently enlisted The Voice: On Stage app to power their interactive singing experience in The Voice Soul, which was unveiled at SEMA in Las Vegas earlier this month.

"We've designed StarMaker and The Voice: On Stage to meet the overwhelming demand of aspiring singers across the globe, and in the process have set a new standard in interactive music," said Nathan Sedlander, president and co-founder of StarMaker Interactive.

"Continued international expansion and the recent launch of our Android applications made the partnerships and investments from Qualcomm and iGlobe the best choices for our company's future."

Through the creation of original social content using innovative gaming mechanics, the StarMaker and The Voice: On Stage apps utilize sophisticated performance scoring technology allowing its users to objectively monitor their improvement. By empowering consumers to create content using recording studio technology like genuine Auto-Tune and proprietary pitch corrections tools, users can publish their recordings and easily share via Facebook and Twitter to display their talents to the world.
