Alternative Technology Adds Thinprint Virtualization to Its GSA Schedule

Alternative Technology and Thinprint Team Up

Alternative Technology announced the addition of ThinPrint Software to its General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule. ThinPrint is a global leader in print management solutions for server-based computing architectures.

ThinPrint has several key elements of its product line available for authorized VARs to sell to federal, state, and local government entities via Alternative Technology’s GSA Schedule. These products include: ThinPrint's .print Virtual Desktop Engine and .print Application Server Engine virtualized printing systems. ThinPrint Solutions virtualize printer drivers to create total independence from hardware, operating system, application, and physical location for printing.

“Federal, state and local markets have a strong need for more cost-effective print management solutions. Adding our solutions to Alternative Technology’s GSA Schedule will allow us to better serve that marketplace,” said Henning Volkmer, chief operating officer, ThinPrint. “Our software allows users to save on bandwidth cost, utilize their servers more efficiently, save on administration and make their users work more productively. Alternative Technology has an excellent reputation in the VAR community, particularly for their strong Citrix and network infrastructure focus and their technical services and education programs, which enable VARs to more easily support federal, state and local markets with GSA-approved products.”

“The addition of ThinPrint to Alternative Technology’s GSA Schedule allows us and our channel partners to tap into the growing market need for print management solutions,” said John Stubbs, vice president of business development, Alternative Technology. “Government agencies are looking for more control over their printing infrastructures and greater value for their expenditures. With ThinPrint leading-edge technology in this area, we can address their needs with off-the-shelf solutions.”
